Anyone can reach Leh by Air or by Road. Reaching by Road is a charm of its own as the scenes in between is uncomparable. You can reach Leh by road through two routes. One is via Manali, which is shorter and adventurer but harsh also. Another is via Srinagar, which is longer but can be covered easily.
Road map via Manali is like:

Day 01: Arrival at Leh airport. You will be received by our and taken to hotel. It is a day for high-altitude acclimatization day. Full rest. Overnight at Hotel in Leh.
Day 02: Visit Alchi, Likir and Basgo monasteries while driving to the monasteries visit Sangam, Hall of Fame and Gurudwara Pather Sahib. Over night at hotel
Day 03: Leh to Nubra Valley (120 Kms); After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla 5600m (Highest Motorable road in the world). Start around 8AM and drive towards Turtuk (Siachen Base Camp). Overnight Camp.
Day 04: You spend the day exploring nomad villages, old monastery, keeping in mind that you are very close to Pakistan border. Overnight at camp.
Day 05: Drive towards Diskit, Visit Monastery / village and Hunder cold desert. Overnight Hotel in Nubra Valley.
Day 06: Nubra Valley to Pangong via Warila. After Breakfast you start early as it's a long drive. You cross over two passes; WARILA& CHANGLA. Around 08 hrs drive.
Changla Pass 17,350 ft. it is the third highest motorable road of world. Pangong, is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India& China. Enjoy the beauty of the lake and appreciate the changing Colors and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Lunch can be taken at the lake were you can find restaurants during summer season. Overnight Camp.

Day 07: Drive back to Leh after spending 5 hours at lake. You visit 3 Idiots Point where the movie was shot. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Check out from Hotel and drop at Airport for return flight.
