Nainital is a hill station situated in the picturesque Kumaon region is situated around the lake Naini. Seven mountains or the Sapta Shring surrounds the city. Apart from its scenic beauty Nainital is famous for its scented candles. The hill station offers a wonderful holiday retreat from the hectic routine of the cities. The high-rising Himalayas, the tree-covered hillsides, beautiful walks and enchanting lakes mesmerize all the tourists who visit Nainital.
Mussoorie is a charming hill station which is popularly known as the Queen of Hills, 34 kms from Dehradun in the Garhwal hills. It provides excellent respite to people who want relief from the hot sultry conditions of the plains, especially since it is close enough to the capital to make just weekend trip. In 1820, Captain Young of the British army was influenced by the beauty of this place and made it his residence. The name, Mussoorie is derived from plants of 'Mussoorie' which were found in abundance here. After its discovery, this hill station gradually developed as a centre of education, business, tourism and beauty.

According to a popular belief, this spot had won the heart of Rani Padmini, queen of Raja Sudhardev. She chose this scenic place to be her abode and since then, it has come to be known as Ranikhet, literally " Queen's Field". At an altitude of 1829mtres, above sea level, this hill resort is undoubtedly a tourists' paradise.

Lansdowne was originally a popular hill station with the Britishers. Attracted by its salubrious climate and natural beauty the established a cantonment here. The famous Garhwal rifles of the Indian army also has its command office here. Lansdowne is situated at an altitude of 1706 mts., just 37 km. from Kotdwar. Surrounded by thick oak and blue pine forests, It is very charming for a quite holiday as it is devoid of the usual hustle and bustle of hill station.
The hill resort of Kausani is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and imagination-stirring scenic beauty, which has  earned it the moniker the 'Switzerland of India'. Besides being the birthplace of the famous poet Sumitra Nandan Pant, the place is also visited by Mahatma Gandhi who was so enamored of its dazzling natural beauty. Originally known as Valna, the mesmerizing hill resort of Kausani offers the ultimate vacation creating the romantic environment.
